Intersport Bike Rental Conditions

  • 1. Customer responsibility
    The customer (renter) is responsible for the rented equipment and assumes full responsibility for its use and storage.

    2. Insurance and regulatory agreement
    The equipment is not insured. However, it is possible to take out insurance coverage by adding €10.00 per day per bike. This coverage excludes liability for accidental damage but does not cover damage caused by improper use, negligence, or malicious behavior.

    3. Theft or total loss
    In the event of theft or total and irreparable damage, the customer is required to report the incident to the relevant authorities. The equipment will be charged to the customer at the manufacturer’s list price.

    4. Partial damage or improper use
    For partial damage or damage caused by improper use or vandalism, the repair costs will be borne entirely by the customer.

    5. Replacement of equipment
    Replacement of equipment is possible during the rental period. In the event of replacement with equipment of a higher category, a surcharge will be applied. No refund will be given for replacement with equipment of a lower category.

    6. Return of equipment
    Rented equipment must be returned by 5:00 p.m. on the agreed day. If returned after this time, an additional day’s rental will be charged.

    7. Failure to return
    If the equipment is not returned by the agreed date, a report will be filed for theft two days after the agreed deadline and recorded on the digital contract.

    8. Early termination
    No refunds will be given for early returns. Refunds will only be granted in the event of illness or accident, upon presentation of a valid medical certificate issued in Val Gardena and/or by the relevant hospital.

    9. Acceptance of equipment
    Upon collection of the rented equipment, the renter declares that they accept the equipment in perfect condition and authorizes the personalized adjustment of the saddle height, brakes, and geometry of the bike according to their physical characteristics.

    10. Cancellation of reservation
    With the SportEasy regulatory agreement (cancellation cover), which can be purchased for 2% of the rental amount, the reservation can be canceled up to 3 days in advance. Cancellations are only accepted by email at info@valgardenasport.com.
    Without cancellation cover, no refund will be given.

    11. Required documents
    When booking online, the customer is required to present an identity card and credit card at the time of collection.

    12. Legal validity and jurisdiction
    All legal relationships arising from the contract are governed by Italian law, even if the customer is resident or domiciled abroad. Any dispute relating to the interpretation and/or execution and/or fulfillment of this contract shall be settled exclusively by the Court of Bolzano.

    13. Privacy and data processing (EU Regulation 2016/679 – GDPR)
    The personal data provided by the customer will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
