Intersport Bike Rental Conditions

  1. Customer responsibility
    The customer (renter) is responsible for the rented equipment and assumes full responsibility for its use and safekeeping.
  2. Insurance and liability agreement
    The equipment is not insured. However, it is possible to take out a liability agreement (“Carefree Package Bike”) at a cost of €10.00 per day per bicycle. This waiver covers damage caused by accidents, but not damage resulting from improper use, negligence, or intent.
  3. Theft or total loss
    In case of theft or total loss, the customer must file a report with the competent authorities. The equipment will be charged to the customer at 80% of the manufacturer’s recommended retail price.
  4. Partial damage or improper use
    In case of partial damage or damage caused by improper use, negligence, or willful misconduct, the repair costs (spare parts and labor) are fully borne by the customer.
  5. Recovery service
    In case of breakdown, defect, or stoppage, the customer must independently arrange the return of the bicycle. The recovery service is not included, whether with or without the damage waiver.
  6. Replacement of equipment
    Replacement of the equipment is possible during the rental period. If the customer receives equipment of a higher category, a surcharge will apply. If equipment of a lower category is provided, no refund will be granted.
  7. Return of equipment
    The rented equipment must be returned by 5:00 p.m. on the agreed day. In case of late return, an additional rental day will be charged.
  8. Non-return
    If the rented equipment is not returned on the agreed date, a theft report will be filed after 2 days and noted in the digital contract.
  9. Early termination
    No refund will be given in case of early return. Refunds are only granted in case of illness and/or accident upon presentation of a valid medical certificate issued by a doctor in South Tyrol.
  10. Acceptance of equipment
    Upon collection of the rented equipment, the customer declares that it is received in perfect condition and accepts the individual adjustment of saddle height, brakes, and bicycle geometry according to his/her physical data.
  11. Reservation cancellation
    With the SportEasy cancellation agreement (cancellation insurance), which can be purchased at a cost of 2% of the rental price, the reservation can be canceled up to 3 days before the scheduled date. Cancellation must be made exclusively by e-mail to
    info@valgardenasport.com. Without cancellation insurance, no refund will be granted.
  12. Required documentsFor online bookings, a valid ID card and a credit card must be presented upon collection.
  13. Legal validity and jurisdictionAll legal relationships arising from the contract are subject to Italian law, even if the customer has residence or headquarters abroad. For any disputes relating to the interpretation and/or execution and/or fulfillment of this contract, the court of Bolzano shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
  14. Data protection and processing (EU Regulation 2016/679 – GDPR)

    The personal data provided by the customer will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
